A New Viking Silver Hoard from Gotland
on a CD-R
In September 2007, a new silver hoard was discovered on the island of Gotland, Sweden. It was a rather small hoard of 69 coins and some other silver objects. The coins are from the Arabic world, as well as from England, Ireland, Germany and Scandinavia. There are among the coins some very unsual coins. The coins can be dated to the 10th and 11th C.

This CD-R contains a web gallery with all the 69 coins, photografed on both sides, and with information of each coin conserning minting place, dating etc.

Besides the web gallery, there are high resolution photos of all coins for a closer study of each coin in a separat folder on the CD. A report of the discovery of the hoard and its content, together with a short introduction to the Viking island Gotland, is also a part of the CD-R.
